Champlain Telephone Company to hold Annual Customer Appreciation Day and Fundraiser for Local Food Shelves
Champlain, NY- On Saturday, August 11th from 9:00 am-2:00 pm, Champlain Telephone Company will hold its Annual Customer Appreciation Day in conjunction with the Champlain Town-Wide Garage Sale and Champlain Village Fest. The employees of Champlain Telephone have donated gently-used garage sale items and will participate in the town-wide sale on that day. All proceeds from the day will be split evenly between the community food shelves located in the Champlain Telephone service area (Champlain, Rouses Point, Mooers, and Altona). Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the day for a variety of prizes donated by local businesses.
The festivities of the day will include entertainment, children’s activities, and workshops. Boy Scout Troop 46 will be conducting the opening flag ceremony with the singing of the National Anthem by Carol Myatt at 10:45 am. At 11:30 am, there will be a performance by local singing group “Pitch a Fit.” A workshop on streaming video service options, will be held at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, and 1:00 pm. The band “Zero Tolerance” will play from 11:00-11:30 am and 12:00-1:30 pm. There will be food, bounce house, face painting, festival-style games for the kids, and much more.
